For the Chicken:

Instructions
Prepare the Chicken:
Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
Make the Teriyaki Sauce:
In the same pan, add soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
Stir and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Thicken the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
Slowly pour the slurry into the simmering sauce while stirring continuously.
Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Combine the Chicken and Sauce:
Return the cooked chicken to the pan and toss it in the teriyaki sauce.
Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, ensuring the chicken is well coated and heated through.
Assemble the Rice Bowl:
Divide cooked rice into serving bowls.
Top with the teriyaki chicken and spoon extra sauce over the top.
Add steamed broccoli or mixed vegetables.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
