Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 2 tbsp sugar optional
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips optional for filling
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. If you’re adding chocolate chips, sprinkle them along one edge of the dough.
  • Brush the dough with melted butter and fold over into a triangle shape.
  • Cut the dough into wedges and roll each piece tightly from the wide end to the point.
  • Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over each croissant for a glossy finish.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and flaky.
  • Optional: sprinkle with sugar for a sweet finish or serve with jam for extra flavor.
