Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 small yellow onion finely chopped
  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Handful of fresh basil leaves chopped

Instructions
 

Sauté Aromatics:

  • In a large pan, heat olive oil. Add garlic and onion. Cook until soft and fragrant.

Add Tomatoes & Simmer:

  • Stir in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Let it simmer on low heat for 10–12 minutes.

Season & Spice It Up:

  • Add red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Finish With Basil:

  • Right before serving, mix in fresh basil.
