- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion diced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 ½ cups tomato sauce
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
