Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef 85% lean
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup ketchup for glaze

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Soak breadcrumbs in milk for 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  • Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
  • Spread ketchup evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 45–55 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
