Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked and seasoned sushi rice
  • 3 –4 sheets of nori seaweed
  • 1 cup cooked chicken tempura strips crispy fried
  • 1 small avocado sliced
  • ½ cucumber julienned
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese optional
  • Spicy mayo or teriyaki sauce for topping
  • Soy sauce for dipping
  • Pickled ginger and wasabi optional, for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken Tempura:

  • Fry chicken strips coated in seasoned flour and panko until golden and crispy. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Rice:

  • Cook sushi rice and season with a mixture of rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let it cool slightly.

Assemble the Roll:

  • Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat. With wet hands, spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori.

Add Fillings:

  • Arrange a strip of chicken tempura across the center of the rice, then top with avocado slices, cucumber, and cream cheese if using.

Roll It Up:

  • Use the bamboo mat to roll the sushi tightly. Apply gentle pressure to keep it firm. Seal the edge with a little water.

Slice & Serve:

  • Use a sharp knife dipped in water to slice the roll into even pieces. Drizzle with spicy mayo or teriyaki sauce before serving.
