Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz pasta spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta:

  • Boil the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

Prepare the Sauce:

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the Liquids:

  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer while stirring occasionally.

Stir in the Parmesan:

  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens.

Combine Pasta and Sauce:

  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Use the reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce's consistency if needed.

Season and Serve:

  • Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes for extra flavor. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
