  • Bacon optional: 4–5 slices (cooked and crumbled)
  • Brown sugar: 1/3 cup
  • Soy sauce: 1/4 cup
  • Butter: 1/4 cup melted
  • Garlic powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Prepare the Green Beans:

  • If using fresh green beans, rinse and trim the ends.
  • If using canned green beans, drain them thoroughly.

Assemble the Dish:

  • Place the green beans in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • If using bacon, sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly over the beans.

Make the Glaze:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, and black pepper.

Coat the Beans:

  • Pour the glaze mixture over the green beans, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Bake:
