  • 2 ripe avocados pitted and peeled
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts or walnuts, optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast or Parmesan optional
